"Let's shed some night light on food accessibility and show our support for The Calgary Food Bank”. This lighting event, will be Friday October 11 @ 7pm, this will be the kick off to www.theWALK.ca charity walk, being held Monday October 14th2024.

Who We Are
Our Story
theWALK.ca, started just over two years ago. I was going to be turning 50 in September 2023. I wanted to run 50 half-marathons in 50 weeks, my fitness bday gift for turning 50. We started run#1 on September 24, 2022. My amazing husband Paul Lavoie decided he was going to support me in my fitness journey and he ran EVERY SINGLE run with me. During our journey we had decided to start fundraising for The Calgary Food Bank along the way. By the time we were completing half-marathon #50, with the help of friends, family and supporters we had raised over $138,000.00. People are good. Believing in the power of community and the importance of giving back, we have launched theWALK.ca
